Hotel Reservation Policy

Thank you for choosing The Misty Meadows, Coonoor. Please carefully review our Reservation Policy outlined below

1. Check-In and Check-Out

  • Our standard Check-In time is 2:00 PM.

  • Our standard Check-Out time is 12:00 PM (Noon).

2. Early Check-In / Late Check-Out

  • Should our standard timings not align with your travel plans, please inform us of your requirements in advance.

  • Early check-in or late check-out requests are subject to room availability and may incur additional charges at the hotel's discretion. We will do our best to accommodate your needs based on prior notification.

3. Cancellation and Amendments

  • We understand that travel plans can sometimes change. While direct cancellations or alterations to bookings are generally not entertained, we request that you inform us of any potential changes or issues at least one week (7 days) prior to your scheduled Check-In date.

  • Please note that any modifications or exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to availability and the hotel's discretion. Additional charges may apply for any approved amendments.

  • Kindly also refer to any specific Reservation/Cancellation or Amendment Policy that may have been communicated to you at the time of booking, as those terms will also apply.

4. Guest Identification

  • For a smooth Check-In process, all guests are required to present a valid government-issued photo identity and address proof upon arrival.

  • Please note that PAN Cards are not accepted as valid identification documents. Acceptable forms of identification include Aadhar Card, Driver's License, Passport, or Voter ID.

5. Credit/Debit Card Usage

  • If the reservation was made using a Credit or Debit Card, the cardholder must be one of the individuals staying at the hotel and will be required to present the same card at the time of Check-In for verification purposes.

6. Right to Cancel or Modify Reservations

  • The Misty Meadows reserves the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a guest has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity, or under other circumstances where it appears that the reservation contains or resulted from a mistake or error. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in such instances.

7. Compulsory Supplements

  • During Christmas, New Year's Eve, and other festive periods, a compulsory gala dinner supplement may be applicable. This charge will be separate from the room tariff and will need to be cleared directly with the hotel. You will be informed of any such supplements at the time of booking or upon arrival.

8. Breakfast Timings

  • Our standard breakfast timings are from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

  • Any breakfast requests made outside of these designated hours will be chargeable at the hotel's discretion.

Hotel Cancellation And Amendment Policy

The cancellation policy varies based on whether your booking is classified under our Non-Corporate or Corporate policy. Please refer to the relevant section below

Non-Corporate Cancellation Policy:

  • If a cancellation is made within 10 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, 25% of the total amount payable for the reservation will be retained as a cancellation fee.

  • If a cancellation is made within 5 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, 50% of the total amount payable for the reservation will be retained as a cancellation fee.

  • If a cancellation is made within 48 hours (2 days) prior to your scheduled arrival time, 100% of the total amount payable for the reservation will be retained as a cancellation fee. This includes no-shows.

Corporate Cancellation Policy:

  • If a cancellation is made within 10 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, 25% of the total amount payable for the reservation will be retained as a cancellation fee.

  • If a cancellation is made within 5 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, 50% of the total amount payable for the reservation will be retained as a cancellation fee.

  • If a cancellation is made within 48 hours (2 days) prior to your scheduled arrival time, 100% of the total amount payable for the reservation will be retained as a cancellation fee. This includes no-shows.

Important Note Regarding Cancellation Charges:

While the above outlines our standard cancellation rules, please be assured that we will make our best possible efforts to waive or minimize cancellation charges depending on the specific circumstances and the possibility of re-booking the room. Any such waivers or reductions are at the sole discretion of The Misty Meadows.

AMENDMENT POLICY

  • Any request to amend or modify your existing booking (including changes to dates, room type, or number of guests) will be treated as a cancellation of the original booking.

  • A new booking will need to be made subject to availability and prevailing rates at the time of the new booking. The cancellation charges for the original booking will apply as per the Cancellation Policy outlined above.

REFUND POLICY

  • In cases where a refund is applicable according to this policy, please note that the refund process may take a minimum of 15 business days to be processed and for the amount to reflect in your account. The exact timeframe may vary depending on your bank or payment gateway.

  • Refunds will typically be processed using the same method of payment used for the original booking.

Additional Considerations:

  • Certain promotional rates or special offers may have non-refundable booking conditions. Please carefully review the specific terms and conditions applicable to your booking at the time of confirmation.

  • For group bookings or bookings of multiple rooms, a separate cancellation policy may apply. Please refer to the terms specified in your group booking agreement.

  • In the event of a force majeure (e.g., natural disaster, civil unrest, pandemic) that prevents you from traveling, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your options. Each situation will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

By confirming your reservation with The Misty Meadows, Coonoor, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Cancellation and Amendment Policy.
